We are pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during the Opening Ceremony Programme of the sixth International Energy Week (IEW) at BCCK, Kuching.
This strategic partnership reflects a shared commitment to advancing offshore innovation and delivering high impact energy solutions through technology transfer, local collaboration and capacity building. It aligns with Sarawak’s clean energy ambitions and broader sustainable development goals.
The technology and methodologies employed by Cornerstone Offshore are aligned with the Premier of Sarawak’s vision to position the state as a global leader in sustainable development. Guided by the Post COVID 19 Development Strategy (PCDS) 2030 and the Sarawak Sustainability Blueprint 2030, this vision aims to harmonise economic progress with environmental responsibility. It sets a clear pathway to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2050 while exceeding global ESG standards through clean and green practices.
Through this collaboration, Cornerstone Offshore will continue supporting Sarawak’s energy transition by deploying low impact technologies that minimise carbon emissions, promote biodiversity and encourage responsible offshore operations. We remain committed to social inclusivity, transparent governance and strong international partnerships that help position Sarawak as the “Battery of ASEAN,” benefitting local communities and contributing to the global climate agenda.
We are honoured that the MoU signing was witnessed by The Right Honourable Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Dr Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari bin Tun Datuk Abang Haji Openg, Premier of Sarawak, whose leadership continues to inspire Sarawak’s transformation into a sustainable energy powerhouse.
